Why Francisca tutors
In 2018 I was still at high school and noticed how much I enjoyed helping my classmates to understand different subjects. Since then all of the memories that I´ve made with the more of 40 students that I´ve had the pleasure to meet are precious to me and make me laugh from time to time. It makes me proud how students can progress so much, defeating the toughts of: not being smart enough, good enough, being afraid of not making it to the major and University they want to study in... and then them getting it, understanding little by little, changing so much in a few months. Them being relieved on "That´s it? It iwasn´t that hard"

This is the story of Vicente, he already took the test to be selected to the major and University he wanted, but he didn´t make it. He felt biology made not much sense to him and that his results on the test were particularly bad in biology. A friend told me someone she knew needed help with science, so I accepted and we started working togheter, from the basics step by step. On our last class, he tells me "Please never stop teaching nor doing the things the way you do them. When we met I was not sure what I wanted to be, but thanks to you I begun to understand biology, the way you explained everything made me understand and have questions, I wanted to investigate and learn more. I fell in love with biology and inmunology. Now I know I want to be a doctor". Being accepted as a medicine student in my country is very rare and requires high scores, Vicente made it.

I am a scientist who is currently in a microbiology master in my country. My specific field is Mycology. But I also enjoy inmunology, biochemistry, cellular biology and molecular biology

Most of the students in my country are diagnosed with either ADHD or Austism. The ones that don´t have an official diagnosis, share a lot of the personality and characteristics of my diagnosed students. Neurodivergents look for each other and feel comfortable with each other. I am a neurodivergent person and I must admit I am way too similar to my students, which I love
