About Ram
I am an experienced educator with 5 years of experience as an Academic Supervisor and 2 years as a Math Subject Specialist in international schools. Since 2017, I have been providing personalized math tutoring to students from different grade levels and learning backgrounds.
My teaching approach focuses on building strong foundational skills, improving problem-solving abilities, and helping students gain confidence in mathematics. I believe that every student can succeed in math with the right guidance, patience, and teaching strategy. I simplify complex concepts through clear explanations and step-by-step instruction tailored to each student’s learning style and pace.
My goal is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to develop their critical thinking skills and create a positive learning experience that encourages growth and confidence.
Why Ram tutors
I chose tutoring because I enjoy helping students discover that math can be understood and mastered with the right guidance and support. Over the years, I’ve worked with students who struggled with confidence, problem-solving, and keeping up in class, and it has always been rewarding to see them improve academically and believe more in their abilities.
Tutoring allows me to focus on each student’s individual needs and learning style, which helps create a more effective and encouraging learning experience. My goal is not only to help students achieve better grades, but also to help them develop discipline, critical thinking skills, and confidence that will benefit them beyond the classroom.
Ram N., in their own wordsA student Ram helped
One of my most memorable tutoring experiences was with a student who struggled greatly with mathematics and had very low confidence in solving problems independently. The student often felt anxious during lessons and believed they were simply “not good at math,” which affected both performance and motivation in school.
To help the student improve, I focused on building a strong foundation first before moving into more advanced topics. I used step-by-step explanations, guided practice, and real-life examples to make lessons easier to understand and less intimidating. I also made sure to create a supportive learning environment where mistakes were treated as part of the learning process rather than failures.
Over time, the student’s understanding and performance improved significantly. They became more confident in solving problems on their own, participated more actively in class, and achieved much higher scores in quizzes and exams.
What made the experience especially rewarding was seeing the student’s mindset change from frustration and self-doubt to confidence and determination. Beyond improving grades, the student developed better study habits and a more positive attitude toward learning mathematics.
Ram N., in their own wordsOutside tutoring
Outside of tutoring, I run my own business, which keeps me busy and teaches me a lot about responsibility and management. I’m also a Christian and actively involved in our church, where I enjoy serving and being part of the community. Most importantly, I love spending quality time with my family.
