About Suchona

Hi, I'm Suchona.

I believe every child can understand maths. They just need someone who knows how to make it click. I'm a mathematics educator, curriculum designer, and teacher trainer with 6 years of experience working across education and EdTech. I've taught students from Grade 3 to Grade 10, worked on curriculum and learning experiences, and trained educators along the way. Over the years, I've learnt one thing: there's no one-size-fits-all way to teach maths. Some children need to see it. Some need to talk it through. Some need to make a few mistakes before the aha! moment arrives. That's what my teaching is all about, understanding the child behind the maths problem. Building strong foundations, asking the right questions, making space for mistakes, and turning "I'm just not a maths person" into "Oh… I get it!"

Why Suchona tutors

I have always loved to see the joy on my students' faces when they finally get to the solution to a question. It makes me want to be a part of their growth journey and being responsible for someone's growth is one of the most beautiful aspects because of which I started teaching Maths
