About Jazel
I teach Math to students in Grades 1 through 7, covering basic arithmetic, word problems, fractions, decimals, introductory algebra, geometry, and statistics. Many students come to class struggling with certain concepts or lacking confidence in their Math skills. I start by identifying what they already understand and where they need support, then build their knowledge step by step. I use visual examples, real-life problems, and interactive activities to make lessons easier to understand. My goal is to help students strengthen their foundations, keep up with their school curriculum, and become more confident and independent problem-solvers.

Why Jazel tutors
I love tutoring because I enjoy seeing students go from feeling confused to confidently solving problems on their own. Every learner has a different way of understanding Math, and I find it rewarding to discover the approach that works best for each student. For me, tutoring is not just about getting the right answer but also about helping students develop patience, critical thinking, and a positive attitude toward learning. Seeing their progress, even in small steps, reminds me why I love teaching.
Jazel Mae T., in their own wordsA student Jazel helped
One achievement I’m truly proud of is helping my students improve both their academic performance and confidence in Math. I’ve worked with students whose grades improved from a C to a B, from a B to an A, and even from an A to an A+. Beyond grades, I’ve also helped shy students become more comfortable participating in class, asking questions, and explaining their answers. I’ve supported many learners with their homework, school projects, and test preparation, making sure they understand the concepts instead of simply memorizing answers.
Jazel Mae T., in their own wordsOutside tutoring
Outside tutoring, I enjoy playing badminton on weekends, exploring new places, and relaxing at coffee shops or good restaurants to recharge. I also make it a priority to attend church every Sunday and set aside time for myself. I consider myself an adventurous person who loves trying new things and making the most of life. I believe this playful side of me helps me connect with my students because, just like them, I see life as a fun journey filled with opportunities to explore.
