About Poonam

I’ve had the opportunity to interact with elementary, middle school, and high school students from different parts of the world, and this has helped me understand that every student learns differently. Some students love challenges, some need visual examples, and some simply need a little more encouragement and confidence, and I love adapting my teaching style to meet those different needs.

Personally, I enjoy learning new things, exploring technology, solving problems, creating engaging learning experiences, and connecting concepts to real life. I believe learning should never feel like memorising something just to pass a test, it should make students curious, confident, and excited to discover more.

My goal as a teacher is simple: to create a comfortable and engaging space where students feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes, think independently, and enjoy the learning journey.

I am proud of building students’ confidence in subjects they initially found challenging. Seeing a student go from saying “I don't understand this” to confidently explaining the concept back to me or solving a problem independently is one of the most rewarding parts of teaching for me.
I consider that a meaningful achievement because my goal is not just to help students get the right answer, but to help them develop curiosity, logical thinking, confidence and a genuine interest in learning.

Outside tutoring

Outside tutoring, I love learning new things, practicing mindfulness and meditation, and exploring how technology and AI can make learning more engaging. I also enjoy creating educational content, reading, traveling, and spending meaningful time with family and friends. I’m naturally curious, so I’m always looking for new ideas and experiences that help me grow personally and professionally.
