About Silky
I am an experienced Chemistry educator with over 8 years of teaching experience across various national and international curricula. My teaching journey began with Byju's, where I worked for one year, followed by my role as an Associate Professor at Physics Wallah. I have also served as a PGT Chemistry Teacher at Grand Columbus International School. Currently, I work as a freelance educator with multiple educational organisations, including Mentor Match, Conceptors, Expert Buddy, and several others. Throughout my career, I have taught students from diverse academic backgrounds, including IB, IGCSE, GCSE, O-Level, Canadian Curriculum, and university-level programs. My academic qualifications include a Master's degree in Chemistry and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.). I am passionate about making complex scientific concepts simple, engaging, and easy to understand through practical examples, innovative teaching methods, and personalised learning strategies. In addition to subject expertise, I have experience working with students with special educational needs and learning differences. This experience has helped me develop patience, adaptability, and individualised teaching approaches that support every learner's unique needs. I strongly believe that effective teaching is not only about delivering content but also about building confidence, curiosity, and critical thinking skills in students. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students can achieve academic success while developing a genuine interest in the subject. Outside of teaching, I enjoy reading, exploring creative ways to simplify difficult concepts, fitness activities, swimming, and belly dancing. These interests help me bring energy, creativity, and enthusiasm into my teaching practice.

Why Silky tutors
Teaching is more than a profession for me; it is something I genuinely enjoy and find fulfilling. I love teaching because it gives me the opportunity to make difficult concepts simple and understandable for students. There is a special satisfaction in seeing a student who was once confused gain confidence and start enjoying a subject. I enjoy finding creative ways to explain challenging topics, especially in Chemistry and Science, through practical examples, shortcuts, and easy-to-remember techniques. Every student learns differently, and I find it rewarding to adapt my teaching style to meet individual learning needs.
