About Alziya

I’m a Mathematics tutor with experience teaching students from the UK, US, Australia, and other countries. I teach students across different age groups and ability levels, helping them build both strong fundamentals and confidence in maths. My teaching focuses on understanding why a method works, rather than simply memorising formulas. I use simple explanations, real-life examples, visual methods, and plenty of guided practice to make concepts easier to understand. I adapt my lessons to each student’s needs, whether they need help strengthening their basics, preparing for exams, or becoming more confident with challenging topics.

Why Alziya tutors

I love tutoring because seeing a student go from “I don’t understand this” to “I can do it!” is incredibly rewarding. My goal is to make math feel less intimidating and help students realise that they are capable of much more than they think.

I’m proud to have helped students improve their test and exam performance while building stronger foundations in mathematics. I’ve worked with students who had gaps from previous grades and supported them in strengthening those areas, improving their understanding, confidence, and test scores. I’ve also supported students preparing for SAT and competitive math assessments, with students showing improvement in their scores and overall performance. One of my students participated in the MTQ (Math Talent Quest) in Australia and received wonderful recognition for their performance.

Outside tutoring, I enjoy singing, playing guitar and pickleball, and writing poetry. I also love video editing and exploring my creative side whenever I get the chance. These hobbies help me stay creative, energetic, and curious.
