Why Elvin tutors
I love tutoring because I enjoy helping students overcome challenges and discover that even difficult subjects can become easier with the right guidance. Seeing a student progress from confusion to confidence is one of the most rewarding parts of teaching.
I especially enjoy teaching Chemistry and Physics because they help students understand how the world works, from everyday chemical reactions to the forces and energy involved in daily life. I believe every student can improve when lessons are tailored to their learning pace and individual needs.
What motivates me most is seeing my students achieve their goals, improve their grades, and become more confident in their abilities. For me, tutoring is not just about getting the correct answer; it is about developing understanding, critical thinking, and a genuine interest in learning.

One achievement I am especially proud of is helping my students improve their academic performance and gain confidence in challenging subjects. One of my IGCSE tutoring students needed additional support in Chemistry and Physics while preparing for an exchange student program in the United States. After two months of focused tutoring, the student achieved A grades in both subjects and was placed in advanced classes.
This experience reminded me that every student has the potential to succeed when given the right guidance, encouragement, and learning strategies. Knowing that my teaching can make a meaningful difference in a student’s academic journey is one of my greatest achievements and continues to motivate me as a tutor.

My tutoring approach focuses on helping students develop strong executive functioning skills, effective study habits, and independent learning skills. I support students in developing time management, organization, planning, prioritization, and problem-solving skills that they can apply both inside and outside the classroom.
I also help students build consistent academic routines, such as creating realistic study schedules, setting daily learning goals, organizing schoolwork, completing assignments on time, and establishing regular review habits. I guide them in using effective study strategies, including active recall, practice questions, reviewing mistakes, and preparing systematically for examinations.
