What happens in the free session

It should feel like a good lesson, not a test.

  1. The tutor gets to know your child

What they enjoy, what feels hard at school, and how they like to learn.

  2. Together they find where it gets stuck

A few problems side by side show the real gap, often a step before the homework.

  3. Your child leaves with a small win

The aim is one thing that did not make sense at the start and does by the end.

  4. You decide what happens next

Keep the same tutor if it clicked. If it did not, you owe nothing.

Why families enroll, and stay

True for every family, from the first paid session.

  • Teachers, not college students

Every tutor holds a degree and has taught K-12 for 7+ years on average. Teaching is their career, not a side job between classes.

  • The same tutor, month after month

Because they're here for the long run, the tutor who meets your child in September is still there in May, remembering where they got stuck and building from it.

  • Taught from your child's own textbook

What school covers this week, from the book your child already has. No second curriculum.

  • Vetted for patience, not just know-how

Knowing a subject and teaching a nervous 14-year-old are different skills. About 1 in 100 applicants pass both.

  • Evenings and weekends

Live 1-on-1 from home, anywhere in the US, at times that fit your family's week.

Between sessions

Follow your child’s progress, session by session

A parent portal and app for every family, from the first paid session.

Questions parents ask

How much does tutoring cost?

Sessions run from $36 to $54 each, depending on the package size. Your first session is free, runs 45 minutes and needs no credit card.

Will my child have the same tutor every time?

Yes. We match your child to one tutor and keep them together. Consistency is most of what makes tutoring work, so we do not rotate tutors between sessions.

What grades and subjects do you cover?

Kindergarten through 12th grade, across math and English, plus science and test prep including SAT, PSAT, ACT and AP Calculus.

What happens in the free first session?

45 minutes of live 1-on-1 tutoring with a real tutor, in the subject your child needs. No credit card, and no obligation to continue. Paid sessions after it run a full hour.

Can I change the time of the free session?

Yes, anytime. Just reply to your confirmation email and we will move it. The time you pick is only for the free session. Regular times are agreed with your tutor afterward, and we are flexible about them.

How do session packages work?

You buy a package of 8, 25 or 50 sessions and use it within 3, 6 or 12 months. The larger the package, the lower the rate per session. The free session needs no payment.

What if my child does not click with their tutor?

Tell us and we will move them to someone else at no charge. Getting the match right matters more to us than getting it right the first time.
